Information on commissioning Ogawa Burukku

Ogawa Burukku left her home in Oklahoma in 2004 to move to Tokyo, Japan, where she graduated from the Nippon Designer Gakuin with honors in 2008. Using her manga degree, she has worked for many successful mangaka as an assistant (Shinichi Ishizuka, Shindou L, etc), later landing an editor with Shonen Magazine at Kodansha. She was later picked up by a manga publisher named Shakeen before making her English debut with Inkblazers, an online publisher.In 2016, Ogawa Burukku launched her first Kickstarter, and after two more successful Kickstarters she was fully integrated into the world of self-publishing. She has since moved back to Oklahoma and focuses more on local events and projects, often creating art for the comic edition of the Curbside Chronicle and working as the Guest Relations Director for the Oklahoma Comic Arts Festival.

For personal commissions, email Ogawa Burukku or contact via DM on Bluesky! You may check my Trello to see what my work schedule is and to follow along with the progress of your own image.The process goes like this:

  • I take your request and get any reference art or photos you may have for me.

  • Once I receive payment, I will add you to the Trello board and send you a few sketches for you to choose from for the pose, etc.

  • I will then send line art for your approval and then flat colors. After this step, any revisions will cost an additional fee.

  • Trello board will be updated with the status of your commission.

  • When finished, you will receive a high-res jpeg or png of the artwork. You may NOT sell the artwork or include any merchandise for sale without purchasing a commercial license. These commission prices are intended for personal use only.
